Post Game 7

12/19/09 - A much better effort led to our first victory, good job guys. Just a few things that should be remembered. First off, we were much much better at moving the puck, passing and recieving this week, kudos on that, but the puck must keep moving up the ice. Too many risky passes and moves going laterally at blue lines will kill you and it did lead to a few goals against.

Second, again, I will not tolerate people ripping into eachother on the ice/bench, etc. That is about the only thing that I will bench people for....

Third, I just want to give a nod to the line of Tak, Red and John. They skated hard, grinded down low, backchecked hard and played a simple, effective game. I put this line together because I figured Red, with all his D experience, John being a steak and potatoes player, and Tak playing a simple game could give me a chance to put our more offensive players together and increase scoring, but they really surprised me. They didnt have a goal, but could of had a few. A damn good job. I liked their short shifts too. A minute shift is usually good, these guys were doing 30 seconders. If they played that well with that short of a shift, imagine if everyone took shorties.
