Player Bio
Hockey career was inspired by "having diapers changed in Brendan Burne Arena" while watching the Devils games as a child, Ryan played midget hockey for the Junior Devils. Played for the Mavericks club team and Paramus Catholic High School as a 4 year varsity player. Captained the team in his senior year and was on the leading scorer list in his junior campaign. Career continuted in college, where he played on the William Paterson Club team before transfering. Was picked up by the Yellow Jackets where he led the team in goals and points on several occasions. Captained the team to back to back championships in 2003. Was on his way to taking over the Yellow Jacket Career scoring list before his current injury, which has him on the disabled list for a calender year already and threatens it in the future as well. Scouting Report Strenghts: Posesses a strong wrist shot that is deadly accurate when taken low and has considerable velocity. Strong on the puck and on his skates, not easy to take the puck away from or push down. Makes simple yet effective plays, won't rule the highlight reel but rules the scoresheet. Big game player... Goals always seem to put team ahead or bring them back to even. Strong playmaker. Leader in the lockerroom, no one questions his work ethic or authority.
