Player Bio
Originally from the U.S.S.R., Marat now resides in Fair Lawn, NJ. It was a long road to get to the Yellow Jackets, as he was scouted and picked up from the Jackets' sister team, The Dead Ringers. Marat Shikhris has played for Fair Lawn High School, NJ Mavericks (which he captained), New York Wings, and the Staten Island Sabres in the Atlantic League Junior ranks. Marat's first appearance with the Yellow Jackets was at the 2006 pre-season classic, where he three hat tricks to help the team to an undefeated tournament win. Scouting Report Strenghts: Posseses a goal scorers touch, accurate shot and excellent speed, which he uses to breakaway from defenders and score on helpless goaltenders. Ample lowerbody strenght makes it hard to knock him off the puck. Excellent one-on-one player, using his skating and stickhandling to burn defensemen. Projection: First line, Go-To scoring center. |
