Yellow Jackets vs. The Rockets, April 18th, 2007 Jackets Strike Often, Ground Rockets The Jackets, powered by 5 tallies by Marat Shikhris and Matt Desomma's game winner with 3 minutes to play, were able to squeak past the Rockets to win their second game of the young season. The Jackets seemed to score on almost every shot they threw at the net, as the Rockets goaltender seemed inept to stop the puck. The Rockets played their typical quick skating and passing game, notching 7 tallies of their own, many of which were the pretty variety. The score seesawed as both the Jackets and Rockets squandered a couple of 2 goal leads, but it was a breakaway rebound goal by George Reminnik and a wrister from Desomma that gave the Jackets the final lead, which they held on to as the Rockets pulled the goaltender. The win gave the Jackets 2 on the season and early ownership of first place.
