Yellow Jackets vs. Colt 45, January 24th, 2007

Jackets Down Some Colt 45

This game was as onesided of a game as it could of been, as the Jackets rolled over the lowly Colt 45, 10-0. Way to many goals to list them all, as the Colt never really had a shot in hell at this one. Some pretty plays, breakaway passes, slick moves, etc, led to a Marat Shikhris hat-trick that was preceded by an almost extinct, Marc Desomma hatter. Desomma and Marat led the scoring with 5 pts a peice, 3g, 2a. Matt Desomma added a goal and an assist, as Allan LaRobardier had 7pts, but only an official 3 assists. Neil Skorka, James Browne and Micheal Earl also struck for the Jackets, scoring a goal each, and Kevin Fogarty had two nice primary assists. Red Akai had an assist on a Marat goal, and Chris Sisco, playing defense in the absence of Dan Levy, also added an assist of his own.

The game was owned by the Jackets as the Colt 45 didn't manage a single goal on their 30 shots, 20 official, with Matt Rovetto securing the rare shutout. Desipite a onesided game, Rovetto did have to make a few tough saves, including a breakaway in the first to preserve the cheerio.

A strong game that the Jackets hope will carry over until their next game, vs the Rockets.
