Yellow Jackets vs. Rockets, December 13th, 2006 Jackets Fall to Rockets Again The last time these two teams met, the Jackets took a 9-4 loss. Obviously much more focused, the Rockets would not be allowed to run away with this contest. Trading goals throughout the first two periods, the Rockets held a slim 4-3 lead going into the third. Led by another 6 pts by #92, Nick Dimoulas, the Rockets were able to score 4 straight third period goals to take a commanding 8-3 lead with 5 minutes to play. Letting up because of the 5 goal lead, the Rockets gave the Jackets a small window to attempt a comeback. The Jackets were not able to crack the Rockets until there was less than a minute in the game, with Murat Shikhris netting his second with 56 seconds left. Half a minute later, Allan LaRobardier's drive found the twine and in the closing seconds, Tanner Finnan's rebound goal beat the buzzer, his second of the game, to make the score respectable at 8-6. If the Jackets played the whole third that way, the ending could have been much different. XXXXXXX
